Oldies
I suddenly feel like wanting to listen to some old songs.
I remember '关怀方式' and the telemovie that came out with it(or the other way round actually), and i missed that show. Though i can't remember it for the hell of me. But the song is classic la.
Btw, you know the lyrics are special right? I think its creatively done, cuz its like after singing one pargraph, Chen Han Wei actually sing the 2nd verse which is the reverse of the 1st verse, and it doesn't sound strange.
So anyone got eh mp3 to send me, and Bon Jovi's 'It's my life'? Feel like listening to the oldies.

Ego
This week has been quite a difficult week for me.
I know I'm not good at studying, but when a teacher chose you to go so for many extra lessons it get a bit more to-your-face and direct. So its kinda demoralizing.
I can be positive and tell myself it can be part of revision, but that's not an integrated part of me so usually halfway through such lessons i'll phase out and really think through what my worth is.
Plus the not-so-good test results which I am supposed to do better. Its been heavier; and next week is going to be even worse.
Maybe i can take some comfort in the notion that I'm not the only one with the stress getting to the head.

SI
Sad. Once i heard that the theme was jazz i knew Jasmine gonna screw up again. And she did. Nvm, she still look gorgeous.
The theme was jazz, so the performance throughout was just boring. Not them, just that I am like a jazz-idiot or something. I fall asleep if i listen to jazz or classical, and when i thought the singer was flat it turned out to be part of the song, and when i thought the singer sounded normal he was actually singing it wrong?
Jazz is for cool people; no wonder.
But i like Bossa Nova, sounds jazzy but not boring. Strange eh.
Something uncorrelated, I think tonight's SI was damn farni-ok, actually only just Emilee's part. Let me explain.
The song Emilee sang called "Making Whoopee" has a sexy theme to it. So, making whoopee means... er, something naughty. How naughty i shall cease to elaborate, but her performance plus the song did put me into the mood.
The funny part came, when one of the judges asked her why she had the stick with her for the performance. She replied nonchalantly that she likes to play with sticks.

To top it off, when Gurmit asked how she feel, she replied, trying to make a pun with her stick, saying that she feels sticky.

Yoga rocks.
Pek cek, Blogger keeps screwing up on me; and its only when accessing my blog and the homepage nia.
Yoga is absolutely the best man.
We're doing it for the teachers wad.
I am absolutely ok with me doing yoga mass display for the teachers on Teacher's Day to set world record. All the teacher's would be so excited to see their students do yoga mass display for world record. They know the students are doing for them ma, not for world record de...
I am absolutely ok with standing under the hot sun to do yoga to prepare for the display for the world record. Yoga cools the mind right? So stand under sun sweat like pig also nvm, cool the mind ma. Besides, its for the teachers on Teacher's Day, not just world record right? Anything for the teachers man...
I am absolutely ok with spending that precious time on doing yoga in order to set record for the school when my prelims are coming. One hour only ma, can do what? Haiyo, yoga mass display to satisfy the teachers' thrist to see students do yoga more important...
The school gets the attention for the wrong things. Won't you agree?

Reality check
Like most students, I get lost whenever i try to think about my future.
The fact is that i do not belong to this place. I'm not the studious type, as seen with my span of concentrations and results; neither am i the artistic type since i know nuts about art and music; and obviously not the showbiz type. I really had seriously thought that maybe if i can sing and not look so ordinary i could try the SI or Campus Superstar kinda thing. Sadly, I'm not.
So here i am, trapped in the middle. Neither this nor that, even if I had able to get into a Uni, it'll be like my JC; scoring average grades and getting into an average Uni. Then graduate with the avreage 2nd class degree then get an average job with average pay. If luck is on my side, perhaps i'll marry an average wife and eventually die an average death.
Big words like, 'I do not want to live an average life' or 'I will not be average if i try hard enough' doesn't apply to people without skills.
The fact is with sheer optimism, determination, and nothing else, brings you nowhere. All those if-you-persist-you'll-succeed kind of crap seems so true because we always and only hear the successful cases. If the theory is true then the society should be filled with successful people; because I seriously don't think only those few cases of 'I persist so i succeed' are the only ones trying hard.
There are a lot of hardworking people in this world who believe in themselves, there's only a handful who succeeded because there is a hidden potential in them that they managed to dig out. The remaining ones can only stay on the grounds while others soar, because they don't have the hidden potential.
It's a damn cruel world out there, whether i want it or not.
I'll just have to go with the flow, and wait for it to bring me to the waterfall.
I don't believe in all those hopeful theories because what I always see on tv does not reflect what happens; that's why i'm so sick and tired of tv serials with happy endings despite having watched those for like 10 yrs le. Wasting my time on things that'll never happen when the time can be used more effectively seems so sinful.

I went to Pizza Hut to takeaway some nice pizzas back to feast on.
Just when i was telling the waitress my order. I SAW HER START TO CRY.
Her tears just flowed but still, smiling at me and repeating my order. I have absolutely no idea why she is crying, quite a shock to me as well, but here are some of my speculations.
- Her bf dumped her. Possible reason.
- Someone in her family is facing some trouble, possibly life-and-death situation.
- My life is so sad that she cried for me. No wonder she kept smiling at me; must have wanted me to not feel so bad.
- She crying for the unfortunate people in Indonesia.
- She has a chronic disease of the eye.
I think the most possible reason is:
I am too chio for her. So she cried.
Just joking. But she really was crying, throughout the entire time i waited for my order, and she continue to serve with a smile. Pei fu, pei fu.

SI
Ahhhh~ Jasmine looked like my grandma. Maybe not really but its juz OLD. I like the hair though.
Tonight's performance was nice, cuz most of the songs I know, except for Gayle's which i think she screwed up. Best was Jonathan's and Rahimah's. I loved Avril's 'I'm with you' and now i'm in love with the song again.
And i thought Hady's performance of Santana's 'Maria Maria' sounded like a Malay song. hahaz.
But its nice! Just that the beat sounded Malay. Not that i discriminate malays whatsoever.
Muhahahahaz.
I like how the world works.

The you realise you no longer show that black face to them. You no longer get pissed off(in front of them anyway) by them. Life just becomes somewhat a little kinder.
Then this blog becomes my tool for venting my frustration. I post whatever unhappiness there whenever i am on the edge of erupting, then i delete it when the anger boils off.
I get to vent my frustration and at the same time, not too vocal about what's happening.
Though the frequent numbers of that need is kind of disturbing.
Or maybe its just the spate of inspiring superhero movies i watched. Or i'm just turning girly. =X

Pirates of the Caribbean
What do you do when you are staring at giant, supposedly-mythical sea monster known as the Kraken, and all you have is a sword?
Seriously, Pirates of the Currybean damn nice la. The show is so inspiring, even Superman couldn't inspire as much with that red underwear. The only thing i learnt from Superman is that the first rule to xian char bor is to learn how to fly. Pirates taught me far more stuff.
Therefore, I shall now model myself on Jack Sparrow, I mean, Captain, Jack Sparrow.
I will be despicable, vile, low-down, unhygenic, somewhat-sissy, cowardly(to a certain extent), don't-know-how-to-shut-up, lying, scheming.... Then some day, a pretty girl will finally kiss me...
Hopefully not tying me up after that, of course.

Pointless
I challenge things that I am unable convince myself that its beneficial in any way.
Like how the notes of Singapore Concerns came across as NE instead of GP. With all due respect, we are S'poreans, is there a need to use the money to print out that stack of notes filled with S'pore things? I look at GP papers and think that yes, we need to refer back to S'pore in context(for reason we are all so clear why), but is it wise to spend that precious hours on doing revision on our own small country's issues?
Forgive me if I am sounding so whiny and practical. But face it, ace the A levels or sit on the lower rungs on the society; there is no room for ideals.
At least for now. For the stressed out S'porean students.
Hopefully i can convince myself somehow in the next few lessons. Otherwise the motivation is really absent.
I am getting darker day by day. And its not just the skin. That's what you have when you start enjoying being alone?

Finals.
france vs italy.
WORLD CUP FINALS AR. Actually, I don't think the match is interesting. Cuz no kick lehz. So no-kick that i am unable to type the first sentence out with caps.
I mean.. If it were some other better team, then it would sound more spectacular ma. Like BRAZIL vs italy kinda thing? france vs italy is like... er, chen liping vs patricia mok, NOTHING TO SEE.
But BRAZIL VS ARGENTINA would be like saying BUSH VS OSAMA, got nuclear-like impact.

OOPS
My neighbourhood is exciting la. Following the want-die-never-die incident, just today there is a case of a mad man(maybe not literally but he still is for doing tt) hurting 2 CIDs with a knife i think.
Wah kao, my neighbourhood already so dangerous with the possibility of falling bodies from above, urine in lifts that you might step on, destroyed notice boards which might cut you and the most terrible of all, the blardy roaches; now this joker come here cut our elite CID with a petty knife.
Later he terrorise this neighbourhood how ar? WHAT IF HE TARGET ME?! I super-chio lehz, later he see me he get excited then he....

Tomorrow you will find a dead body sprawled over the table of LT1. Because one person will be watching World Cup Semis without, and i shall repeat that, without sleeping since...er... 2am the previous morning.
I know I am renowned across the world for sleeping little, but i am now an old and fragile boy who will, almost certainly, die due to liver failure in the not-so-distant-future, so by doing that I could very well die one day earlier, which is tomorrow.
Why is Germany so far from us? Why not just hold World Cup in Jurong Stadium or Jurong East Sports Complex? Why Earth round? Earth flat then all the same timing le ma, why not?

Here I am, blogging amidst the excitement of the World Cup Semis. I think Italy will win.
Life's been bad since common tests. Physics being a plus point for my unexpected pass, it just reminded me that i probab;y squandered my chance of getting good results for waking up late then.
BAH. Waking up late for a paper's a new experience and i don't think anyone else i know has done that, SO I AM SPECIAL.
I'm still very bothered by my spectacular chemistry results.

The inevitable has happened... But nevertheless, I think Italy deserved the win. Holding up the fort against Germany's lack-lustre attacks, the defence is god-like.
I was thinking Italy would stand a better chance against Germany if they are not going up against them for penalties, then the signs of a goal appeared and the player slowly dribbled the bal outside the penalty box, holding his cool and not shooting, then came the magnificent pass through the defenders and then the magical curl into the goal.
The second goal was less of skill and more of the German defenders giving up. And i was thinking "still got chance!" until the 2 Italians went into shooting range.

Like wth?
Like wtf? 3 days gone like that.
Actually 3 days not very wasted la. Did some work(thanks to yesterday having hmwk mood, today no mood), got human-like hours of sleep, and caught up with some friends for dinner.
Of course, life's never empty with the occasional "You got 2 Fs" creeping up to your ears and whispering gently to remind you of your spectacular achievements and make sure your faith remains lost.
Killing me softly
Just returned home at 11 plus and realise that there was a small commotion at the void deck. Actually not very big la; about 3 fire engines, 5-6 mata qia and like 30 plus bystanders(estimated).
According to my mum, someone committed suicide. I thought that wasn't very accurate, cuz if there's a successful attempt then there isn't a need for all that hu-ha; just get the undertaker can liaoz. Maybe the cleaner along as well.
So, in conjunction with S'pore's coming birthday, i decided to fufil my task as a law-abiding and loyal citizen by going downstairs to see what's going on.

Here is the text of the complaint letter which an Italiano tourist wrote to the Manager of a hotel in London.
Dear Signor Diretorre,
Now I am tella you the story how I was treated at your hotella.
I am comma from Palermo as tourist to London and stay as a young man at your hotella.
