Killing me softly
Just returned home at 11 plus and realise that there was a small commotion at the void deck. Actually not very big la; about 3 fire engines, 5-6 mata qia and like 30 plus bystanders(estimated).
According to my mum, someone committed suicide. I thought that wasn't very accurate, cuz if there's a successful attempt then there isn't a need for all that hu-ha; just get the undertaker can liaoz. Maybe the cleaner along as well.
So, in conjunction with S'pore's coming birthday, i decided to fufil my task as a law-abiding and loyal citizen by going downstairs to see what's going on.
With my superb eavesdroppinginfo-gathering skills, it appears to be a young woman, probably just got dumped by her dunno-number-what boyfriend, attempting suicide. According to sources, firemen foiled the attempt by going on to the floor about the woman's house and somehow, prevented her from doing anything spectacular.
Usually, failed attempts of suicide are probably people wanting attention, except in a more dramatic way. if the person is really sincere(so strange to b using this word here) about killing him/herself, no one would be able to stop the person in time.
Right now i think the police are still here for god knows what reasons, but I guess this is a fortunate as the big name of the "first-person-to-kill-himself-in-this-neighbourhood" still remains unclaimed.
And no, I would not like to have that under my name.
