Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Happy Teachers' Day!

OMFG. Justice has finally been served! Joakim is OUT. Oooosh la.

And so it rained, except that it didn't came down hard enough and we had to do it in the rain.

And because i did had some fun throwing the caps at people, I shall not comment on the fact that the school, being a centre of excellence for pupil's development, had put us under the rain, under the risk of lightning strike and risking the health of the J2s who are taking the exams in order to break a record.

I seriously am not complaining.

Anyway, I think the presentation at the beginning of the concert was nicely done, Mutton Balls were kinda boring(muz b the atmosphere la, Talentime more high), and can someone go up to the guy who sang 3 Chinese songs and give him a whack on the head to remind him "YOU ARE A STUDENT WHO SINGS SLIGHTLY BETTER, BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU ANY MORE A STAR".

Idiot. Think he opening concert.

After everything ended I went back good old CSS, which is spending its last year at the current site. Getting quite a sense of nostalgia walking down the same path which I took when I first went there. Sadly, that was probably my last time walking that path since it's shifting next year.

Was quite boring at the beginning but it got pretty interesting when some old classmates of mine and I went up to the staffroom and found Auntie Janet and had quite a funny chat with her.

Some of the most memorable people are found when you're in secondary school-I'm sure quite a lot of us have realised that.

Surprisingly, 'Hero' was a lot less cheesier than I thought it was. Turned out to be better for me despite my doubts. Of course, the bad part of it-as of all Chinese films-is the effects.

And i think this is the first time seeing a film that doesn't portray Qin Shihuang as the bastard he is commonly known. Or I'm watching too few films to make a judgment?

Oh well. Back to the books.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Baby troubles

Over msn...
Ugly, stupid anonymous: I want an absolute answer!
Smart, yandao anonymous: Cannot, my gp teacher taught me to consider both sides of an argument.
Smart, yandao anonymous: Altho she doesn't do that when it comes to arguments about men.

I hate being sick, especially when i'm now old.

They(mainly women, or specifically a certain female teacher) say that men are big babies when they fall sick. I agree with that, but I would question if its only the guys. I don't know, my sister's young enough to be a baby so i can't exactly ascertain that.

Anyway, I'm saying that cuz my baby instinct came out earlier today.

I knew i'm gonna be in trouble for eating one bun, 2 pieces of fried chicken and then playing basketball in that hedious weather. And hedious is not a powerful enough word to describe it since my vocab is really pretty limited. Anyways, the ride back home was torturing as i was trying hard to not vomit, and the walk back home equally painful, and the moment i reached home all hell broke loose. Or rather, all liquid broke free.

Amidst the puking i suddenly have the desire of someone to pat my back while I puke to comfort or to ask sincerely, "Are you ok?". Obviously the question is dumb beyond imagination but we ask it all the time when such situations occur and the dumbest thing is those who were asked this question seems to be pretty contented with that question.

Sadly, either I was too smart to get that kind of treatment or the people around me too smart to ask that question, all there was silence in the house, my heavy panting after the waterfall and after 5 minutes, another round of happiness-puking.

After the ordeal, I again haf the desire to want someone to somehow help me back to my room. Its kinda pathetic really to crawl the way into the room; and the urge became stronger when i realise i needed to crawl back for the 3rd serving. Once again, all alone, I had to crawl back, took a detour to puke onto the floor since i hadn't exactly mop the floor and didn't want to waste water. Nah, that part was a joke.

The path to lala land after all that intestinal/stomach/i-swear-there-was-my-liver cleaning up was equally painful. The baby in me was practically screaming for someone to come sayang me and tell me the splitting headache will subside. I almost wanted to just let go and cry till i sleep la.

Too bad, no one home, cry also waste more water, in the end fell asleep and woke up feeling pretty ok already.

Interesting that here i am typing these out when i went through that terrible thing. Hopefully i won't go through it again(though i know i will since i got weak stomach).

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting RIP

It breaks my heart even to type this out, to announce this ground-breaking news of the demise of a great friend, a loyal servant, a brave compatriot.

After countless rain and wind this friend had beared with me, infinite number of journey from my pocket to the floor and probably a few times of skating around on the floor, I am saddened to announced this.

My titanium(the colour) shell, -3G(the dash means negative) technology, 2 megapixel camera and bluetooth-equipped(its blue and it packs a bite) Nokia handphone has officially been pronounced dead at 1615 hours, August 15 2006.

Oh my beloved. You have served me well. May you find peace and comfort in the handphones' netherlands, though i think you run the risk of been ostracized by your fellow handphones for being too high-tech... Oh my beloved, my heart bleeds for you...

Now, let us observe one minute of silence as the last act of respect for this model; the last of his kind, the hero of his tribe...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

By some stroke of magical luck, today happens to be my no-mood-do-work day.

My body has this strange biological clock where I have alternating periods of willingness-to-chiong-work days and the opposite in some other days. Something like the male's version of period. Example would be like how hiong i was on Sunday where I finished all the work, and like how today I've only done revision for ONE freaking topic out of the TWO i'm supposed to cover for the test tomorrow.

Imagine this happening everyday la, then i can cover about... er, 26 topics before prelims; that's only like one and a half subjects only!?! Then my prelims results would be like ABFF, then my parents would be BAFFled by the spectacular results and everyone would laugh at my Freaking FABulous marks.

I'll probably kill myself with A Butcher's knife and bleed for Fifty-Five hours before i die.

Then people will Find my Body beside JJC's Fountain filled with A lot of blood.

====================================================

Sorry out of point.

Anyway, I think my plan for tomorrow is - know the formulas, know the basic concept, PRAY.

PRAY that I'll get some genius inspiration and suddenly know how to do. That actually happens sometimes, I can only hope it occurs tomomorrow.

Although I already know that the Prom Night would be held together with the 125th Anniversary Lunch, it just make me shudder at the thought at how people can simply use 'a grand affair' and 'the focus will be on you, the graduates' to cover up the fact that this is a freaking move to cut costs.

Imagine at such a HUGE dinner, are you sure the focus is really on us? Firstly, i think the focus would be on those special guests invited; what other better time to suck up to them than when they're happily eating and then get them to happily donate to the school? Secondly, the J1s are there. No special reason, but their mere presence just spoils everything. Prom's supposed to be for the graduates before they leave, not for the pesky J1s to steal the limelight to enjoy as well.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Confessions

I wait for the postman to bring me a letter
I wait for the good Lord to make me feel better
And I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders
A family in crisis that only grows older

Why'd you have to go
Why'd you have to go
Why'd you have to go

Daughter to father, daughter to father
I am broken but I am hoping
Daughter to father, daughter to father
I am crying, a part of me is dying and
These are, these are
The confessions of a broken heart

And I wear all your old clothes, the old polo sweater
I dream of another you
The one who would never (never)
Leave me alone to pick up the pieces
A daddy to hold me, that's what I needed

So why'd you have to go
Why'd you have to go
Why'd you have to go!!

Daughter to father, daughter to father
I don't know you, but I still want to
Daughter to father, daughter to father
Tell me the truth, did you ever love me
Cause these are, these are
The confessions of a broken heart

This is an excerpt of the song 'Confessions of a Broken Heart' by Lindsay Lohan.

I'm not exactly crazy about the song. Its just that Rahimah sang it with so much angst that I felt it and its making me kinda emo.

I'm not sure about her background, but I don't think a 17-going-on-18 girl can just churn out so much emotions from the air? Or maybe its the pressure from people?

She is, afterall, like us, the teenagers. Albeit with the bulk of S'pore judging her.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting The Band.

The St. Andrew's School Band concert is nice!

Initially i had thought it's just the SAJC band performing, but it turns out to be the entire St Andrew's Schools' combined concert.

Forgive me, but when i stepped into the performing hall, I felt like a Viking in an Art Museum in Venice. And I felt like that not least because I am a JJ student. The St. Andrew's Junior School band was the worst of all. BUT, I think they can match up to JJ's standard. And they're all Pri 6 kids.

There were the boring pieces, and there were the nice ones. I like the one which commemorates the passengers and crew of the place for fighting back against the terrorists and eventually, saved the Pentagon(saved wrong ppl?) on Sept 11. I also like the second last one, called 'Riverdance'.

Speaking of which, I think the most popular instruments around is the saxophone right? Cuz that piece earned the loudest and longest applause and the bastardband member who played the soprano saxophone got the most response. Reminds me of Lyoe when he also did a similar thing during CSS's band performance at Toa Payoh HDB Hub then.

Bastard.

The night ended with a rush as we rushed back home since it was getting a tad bit late. On the way back I kept comparing both schools. Somehow, comparing their school and mine felt like comparing a posh restaurant with a run-down kopitiam. Their principal speech also damn power la.

At least he doesn't pronounce Buddism as Buddilism.

J3 singing jazz damn gay la. has to be the most memorable performance for the night ironically.

迷路兵's 勇气 also quite nice. The funny part was when Soul sang 'Perfect Man'; the original singer is ShinHwa, some Korean band, and ShinHwa did a Mandarin version before, AND SOUL SOUNDED EXACTLY LIKE THEM IN CHINESE LA. hurhur.

Though I think got some copycats... 迷路兵's '小薇' has the rhythmn sounding deviously like 欧得洋 '浪漫群岛', some less known track in Ocean's first album. And J3's '乱舞春秋' the handphone part also copy Jay's one i think.

The other better performance is the one from the special guest MC Hotdog and 张震岳's '我爱台妹'. I was waiting for them to blurt out some vulgarity or that 张震岳 go take off his pants or something like that. Too bad never, hahaz.

Its interesting that while I've always thought conceited people are actually very mediocre people with little skills but are conceited because they think they're good, I just thought I am like that. At least for my GP.

I've been caught up in my little world of imagination long enough to forget about where my level is.

I just wondered what is the difference of an A level GP composition and an O level English composition halfway through my question. Because I always thought scoring marks means doing those less-popular questions, my composition turned out painfully like one that I'll write in secondary school.

To break the 30 marks barrier I need to break out of my own world first.
