Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Independence

"I am afraid that when I ask my friend to accompany me to some places, they will reject me. Because they are too busy, and I’m a WASTE of their pathetic-24hrs-a-day time. =( So because I’m SCARED tht I get rejected, I dun usually ask people out. And because of that, I learnt to be more independent."

For me this applies too, and also to many other aspects of how I handle my social life. Except that I learnt how to simply cope with loneliness, instead of independence. Which explains why I always do things alone.

But perhaps independence is simply the equivoque of loneliness?

Have changed a bit by being a bit proactive in asking the few close friends out more frequently. But nowadays I've got back to being my old hermit self(OMG I just realised I've got loads of similarities with Jiraiya!). Not just because they are always busy; I'm too tired with the rejections due to pure difficulty of trying to get people together amidst everyone's busy schedule!

Really missed the days where we all have too much time on our hands and so, get together so frequently and effortlessly.

Watched Evangelion 1.0: You Are (NOT) Alone.

Absolutely fantastic, since I've forgotten most of the details in the story and the graphics beats having to watch the old series on the computer. Can't wait for the next 2 movies.

I kinda envy the protagonist, Shinji, for getting to use an Eva. More importantly, he gets to be surrounded by all those chio bu, like Rei Ayanami. How I wish I can be in his shoes!

Crap man. Why I'm always wanting to do things with the wrong intentions lei?

Must change this. Otherwise the ladies would think I always do things will wrong intentions and get turned off.

See?!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Vids

These 2 videos of Selina's very real and direct responses had me laughing amidst a rather bad flu.

The guy in light blue is actually Selina's dad, who is a talkshow host as well, and he's talking about some rather private stuff which made Selina damn pai seh. Start from 05:44 mins.

The guy standing behind Selina is something like a co-host, but rarely talks. Nevertheless, in this flashback of past episodes, the way Selina whacked him and his 'ghost act' made me laugh till I was breathless. The last scare where she pratically jumped was priceless. Start from 01:15 mins.

Quite bored. Must find other stuff to do.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting TV

Just chanced upon this certain taiwanese talkshow and was slightly taken aback by how... honest it is.

The male guests, who works in the entertainment circle, are unabashed about how they exploit chio bus in their shows to the extent of asking them to zao geng, while the female guests, all aspiring starlets are unashamed to do that.

I am surprised at how one actually replied quite happily that she does not feel offended whenever a male host cracks a dirty joke about sex or her figure and in fact, is glad that she got airtime instead!

It appears the taiwanese variety shows shown here in S'pore really are the 'clean' ones lor. The things people do for fame and money I tell you, no dignity, no pride, no morals lor.

I seriously should start watching the taiwan variety shows.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting 斗牛 要不要? 不要!

As Hebe's biggest fan and most loyal supporter, I would like to declare 斗牛 要不要......

a kanasaicockbullshitfarkedup show.

How bad was it?

I skipped 5 episodes all the way to the last episode and for all the others I bothered to watch, I was watching with X2 scrolling speed. Even the biggest selling point, basketball, was practically non-existent. Only Hebe matched up to standards la.

But if you hadn't watched it, don't bother. Even the zao xia '童话' on Channel 8's charity show is more worth your time.

They should just hang the bloody scriptwriter/s, mutilate the asswhipe producer/s and rape the goddamn director. Ni narnia.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting NDP!

Call me a hillbilly but I really don't understand why people like Amy Winehouse.

And Duffy sounds just like Amy Winehouse! Minus the bad(really, really bad) hair and the rehab.

YAHOOOO~ Today's NDP rehearsal was damn shiok!

Today's rehearsal had all the marching contingents, including the civilians. In other words, there are the NCC(a few GIRLS), NPCC(some GIRLS), Red Cross(more GIRLS with the best-looking female trainer) and Girls' Brigade(all GIRLS la).

So when we, the army contingents, did our routine, all the uniformed groups watching from the grand stand would scream and clap whenever we do some co-ordinated stuff.

Putting aside the fact that all of them are 小妹妹s and I couldn't bring myself to ogle them due to the word 'incest' popping out at the back of my mind, the female screams and clapping really was a good aphrodisiacencouragement and made everyone forgot how the Sun is burning up our boots, creating a natural oven within the boots itself, cooking our feet to a crisp.

We did good and were released early. Which explains why I reached home, on the verge of collapsing onto my bed and just sleep, at around 8.30PM(Sin Kuan, now you know why I can't go chalet).

I'm loving it already. With our trainers and the reserve Parade RSM constantly telling us that everyone was immensely surprised at how we - conventional thinking would be that combatants have much better discipline and drill standards, as opposed to us in the service vocations - managed to match up to standards for each rehearsal, I can already feel the pride of being the pioneer batch of CSSCom marching contingent.

Our trainer even shared how in the beginning, the other organisers had thought we wouldn't even be able to put together a proper contingent!

We might not be the best, but it sure feels good being the underdog who caught up.

Is it me or did One Republic just spoilt their own song and David Archuleta kinda saved it? And George Michael's hands are a tad too busy eh.

Anyway so David Cook's part of American Idol Hall of Fame indefinitely now. According to a very smart individual, he won because he is an MP3.

Or rather, he won because he is a jedi.

Go figure.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Welcome to my Life

The weather is scorching. All I did was sitting on the tank, without moving one single muscle in my body and I'll start sweating. But compared to my friend's experience in India, where the mid-day temperature hits a whopping 43 degrees Celsius, I think S'pore isn't that bad for an equatorial island.

Anyway work's been pretty hectic(relative to a few weeks before) for me due to a shuffle of tanks over at my side, and the introduction of a new platoon for my company is keeping the top people busy.

But with NDP training providing a nice weekly break from all that grease and dust it isn't that taxing.

Hopefully I don't faint anytime during training due to the weather. Damn lao kui one.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Embarasment

Embarrassment comes in all forms but all roughly feel the same. It can be a type of embarrassment when you type 'embarrassment' short of one 'R' or one 'S'. It can also be a type of embarrassment when someone puts you down in public like pointing out your mistake.

But I personally think that one of the biggest type of embarrassment is playing out of tune repeatedly on the violin and drumming without any type of tempo or rhythm whatsoever on National TV.

They were so bad that I had to walk out of my room to see what in the world was happening. What happened to 'showcasing your talent'?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I'm part of you indefinitely

Was just wondering what difference would me make for me if I retire from blogging.

This basically means that my online presence would be entirely withdrawn and time spent on the internet would really only just be checking out Youtube, since I rarely go on MSN and have already 退隐江湖 from the Friendster stalking business.

And I realise that it probably wouldn't be much difference for me now.

Back then I definitely wouldn't think this way. Back then if there was Facebook I'll be a stalker on both Friendster and Facebook. Back then I really was willing to spent time to talk to the people whom I've never seen before and blogging like my life depended on it.

But I guess I grew out of my online moniker/identity. My priorities are a little bit different and so are my stands.

I guess it really just makes more sense to be stalking people in real life than on Friendster.

Hurhur.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Sing sing~

I am slightly proud to announce that my band of friends are ALL good singers. And if you know me long enough you'll know that if I praise someone I really do mean it and there's quite some credibility in it.

Went down with the 2/4 gang(Wei Liang, Sin Kuan, Xiu Ming, Chee Wee, Pristine & Sin Yee) to Chevrons earlier today for a cheap Karaoke session. And I made the statement above only today because today's the first time I heard Pristine & Sin Yee sang. Choir people really got standard.

As for me though, I know I can sing on-pitch most of the time and (at least) people don't cringe in horror when I sing , so I'm not going to go on an emo-rant and say how I sound bad and is a bad singer.

Which reminds me that one of my pet peeves is people complaining about a certain imperfection of them when they obviously don't actually have it. Like saying you're poor when you freaking living in a condo and going out on expensive holidays several times(yes, this example is obviously too specific for me to be referring to someone fictitious).

Or pushing away the microphone and saying they're a bad singer but later 'gives in'(while giving a very 委屈 look of course) and end up serenading every single female being in the room.

I think these people are just doing that because they want to get attention; perhaps even with the motive of wanting people to go on and console them and therefore, squeeze out the praises they need so much to feel good about themselves. Trust me, I was guilty of that before.

And this brings to mind an imperfection of mine: I almost always never give people the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe the guy who says he isn't rich when he seems like one actually meant it because his family is in fact, in debt. Or maybe the crooner genuinely doesn't know he's that damn good; this doesn't matter actually since I'll still have a problem with him, except it's a different problem(think jealousy).

Maybe it's this unforgivable nature of me that sets the base of such a grim colour for my outlook of people in general. The only people I bother to give the benefit of the doubt probably are the ones whom I just went singing with today.

I'm trying to be more trusting and forgivable of people so as to be less cynical and love the world more.

But it's difficult when you honestly believe that this guard that you've kept on, which has only let in a selected few people, has protected you so damn well for your life thus far that letting it down now might just invite in people who'll harm you.

Just watched Alien VS Predator 2 on DVD.

Hmm. What's that word that went through my mind? Ah-ha, SUCKS. It's like the scriptwriters didn't have enough time and paid too little to do something better up. The creation of Alidator(alien + predator) should be fodder for creativity to bloom what, right?

I thought the final fight scene of Alidator and Predator could be made more interesting and epic. It could be even better with dialogue or subtitles to depict their conversation!

Like for example,

Predator: You want a piece of me hur you fark-face, come lah come.
Alidator: Fark-face? Gee I wonder where I got that from.
Predator: Shuddap lah you bastard.
Alidator: That was inter-racial love you fugly racist.
Predator: HAH. Whatcha think you get when you put 2 of the ugliest beings together? And I think that counts as rape; only one willing party lor.
Alidator: Well, at least I didn't get those drrrrreadful dreads of yours and dude, how long since you last washed them?! I can smell them from here!

See? Sooo much more interesting already.

Desperately trying to nurse myself back to health, even taking one day off just to rest, ahead of tomorrow and Saturday's training.

They say guys turn into big babies when they fall sick, needing someone by their side to pamper them and give them medicine and feed them porridge like we always see on TV. I wonder why hur?

Maybe illnesses throws the male ego into non-existence eh. In my case, I become like a female baby throwing a hissy fit when I'm sick(or maybe the ego is simply too big to be cast into any void); I detest having anyone by my side, unless I'm bleeding to death.

And also, unless it's Hebe giving me medicine and feeding me porridge.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Random

Impudence!

Was on my way home from camp this morning when I accidentally saw this other guy, should be an NSF like me, with S.H.E's photo in his wallet!

Obviously, no man can stand the sight of his wife's photo in another man's wallet, so I reacted what any other man would do in my place.

I thrust my keys at his neck and in one swift motion, ripped out his throat and used it as a straw for my bubble tea. Following that I mutilated his body and separated his bones and flesh.

I sold his flesh to Flesh Imp for a pretty neat price; I used his skull and 2 thigh bones to make a 3-D DANGER sign, his ribcage as a 3-D xylophone and his arm bones as a present to Kai Quan for his drum set.

And as if the bus trip wasn't interesting enough, there was 2 manly-looking humans(I'm not entirely sure what sex I should refer to them as) dressed like women boarded the bus and was sitting 2 seats in front of me. And there was this infant sitting on his mother's lap beside the 2 humans who stared at the 2 humans with a wtf-are-they face.

Damn funny la, with the baby's mouth agape and drooling like he was traumatized. I guess the baby has ample reason to be traumatized; poor thing, this image would almost certainly follow him wherever he go from now on.

Maybe he'll even grow up to become like that! You know some have theorized that babies grow up to become what they saw in there infant years, like how our habits are usually similar to the ones we live with.

In that case, I think perhaps my mum watched a wee bit too much of Lee Kuan Yew's speeches.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Marching on~

First day of Marching Contingent rehearsal and it's pure humiliation.

Not that we can help it anyway; we're a bunch of blur people who hasn't done drills for months, needless to say SAR21(never even learn before la), put together in a contingent and trained for a grand total of 3 hours, then left to die amongst other contingents who had at least one month of preparation.

Damn pai seh la. And the Navy and Police contingents were recruits somemore. Goodness. The Ari Force even more power; all of them were sergeants.

But my contingent representing CSSCOM(Combat Service and Support Command) bounced back pretty well and we were even spared the remedial training! Feels damn nice to be the undedog yeah.

For now I am in the marching contingent for NDP '08. Hopefully I can stay inside.

And if you're wondering, you know every year the marching contingents would scramble themselves to form the words NDP '08?

I am proud to announce that I AM PART OF THE P!

Er. Sounds weird eh.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Level 36

The summer is here and we can all feel the heat.

Kinda hard to keep cool nowadays.

Anyway, the chance I pounced at on Wednesday has officially made my summer and autumn packed with activities. Though it is not 100% that I'll be getting what I want and practically everyone is frowning at me for that, I'm still very much optimistic about it.

The downside is that my Saturdays WILL be burned. My gawwwd.

===================================

Btw something interesting happened today. I was having this briefing by this Sergeant Major I've never seen before and throughout the whole briefing, most of us were giggling at the Sergeant Major.

The reason was that he was constantly making a sound, when he did his briefing. It sounded like 'ya-ai' and although none of us knew what it meant, it was just downright hee-larry-years since the sound came out randomly.

He was like, "Ok ya-ai, this is what will be happening ya-ai, do you have any ya-ai questions? Ya-ai. No ar ya-ai..."

It was after the entire briefing did I wonder why is he doing it. And then there was Revelation. There was this guy in Sungei Gedong who had random spasms of his body whom I see a few times on the bus. It is a condition of Tourette's Syndrome.

Uncontrolled bursts of weird sounds or words during speech is also Tourette's Syndrome.

Which means that this Sergeant Major is highly likely to have Tourette's, which explains fully the weird sounds despite him appearing to be smarter than most Sergeant Majors I've met.

And then I realise that I've been laughing at a sick person.

Oh. My. God. The guilt is overwhelming I tell you. I told my friend and he too, grew quiet. We have both made a terrible mistake and I have broke my own principle. Which is one should never laugh at disabled or sick people no matter what.

With the exception of stupidity and ugliness of course, I own these 2 disabilities so I can laugh at similar ones.

But my point is, I just got myself a one-way ticket to Level 36, double of Level 18 liao.

Shit man. Level 36 so damn ulu.
